Let Srilanka not bend to TNA’s pressure tactics.
Recently the TNA leader Sampanthan has threatened the GOSL that if the Government does not comes out with proper solution the TNA has to find alternative methods. Let Sampanthan boldly tell what alternative method he or his party has in mind? Is he threatening the sovereign state of Srilanka? Has he forgotten their destructive politics have taken a toll of thousands of lives in Srilanka and the country is still struggling to overcome the loss in all front. Does he not know what happened to his National leader, for the crime against Srilankans and especially crime against his own Tamil People?

(May 1, Toronto, Sri Lanka Guardian) It was on the 14th May of 1976, at Vaddukoddai, the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) under the Chairmanship of S.J.V.Chelvanayakam Q.C, M.P (K.K.S) adopted the Vaddukoddai Resolution, which radicalized the entire Tamil population of the North and east, which also played a greater role in militarizing the Tamil youths and diminished the political role of the Tamil community. Since this day, the former TULF and the present TNA has never participated or practiced a constructive politics but destructive politics which has brought the Tamil community to Mullivaikal.
The seed for Mullivaikal tragedy was sown by S.J.V.Chelvanayakam on 14th of May 1976 which reads as below:
“This Convention directs the Action Committee of the TAMIL UNITED LIBERATION FRONT to formulate a plan of action and launch without undue delay the struggle for winning the sovereignty and freedom of the Tamil Nation;
And this Convention calls upon the Tamil Nation in general and the Tamil youth in particular to come forward to throw themselves fully into the sacred fight for freedom and to flinch not till the goal of a sovereign state of TAMIL EELAM is reached.”
At the 34th Commemoration of S.J.V.Chelvanayakam, in his key note address TNA parliamentarian Sumanthiran has said that Srilanka constitution needs radical changes articulating the same policy of SJV, as a tribute to his ideology for a separate state. The motive behind the commemoration is to remind the Tamil community and revive the old TULF separate homeland policy and the present TNA stand for the same cause to ensure the community does not take a moderate stand. It should be noted that the Vaddukoddai resolution hasn’t mention the country or Government as Srilanka but as Sinhala State as usually called by Tamil Nationalist at all occasions. It is so obvious to note that from the 14th May of 1976 until this date the Sinhala State has been paying salary to all those elected under TULF earlier and latter under TNA for preaching their separatist ideology and been granted place of residence at the expense of Sinhala Tax payers in Colombo itself which is the capital of Sinhala State.
If these so called saviors of the Tamils want to preach and fight for their right, they should get their pay from Tamil Diaspora who is their real masters whom pumped billions of dollars to run the separatist war and not from the Sinhala state. To occupy a seat in Sinhala parliament and get handful of salary from Sinhala government is nothing wrong to these shameful Tamil Nationalist. But living together with Sinhala people or working along with the Sinhala State is a matter of dignity to them. As mentioned in the Vaddukoddai resolution, the separatist fight for freedom is called as sacred fight by TULF and requested the Tamil youths to come forward to throw themselves till the goal of a sovereign state of Tamil Eelam is reached. The present TNA parliamentarians have tirelessly working for it and even taken this message all over the world for a separate country. Let Srilanka stop engaging with this separatist and isolate them from political arena. Let not the Government of Srilanka give up to TNA’s political pressure. Letting TNA to pressure on the Sovereign State of Srilanka within Srilanka allow the external powers to pressurize externally. It’s the duty of the democratically elected GOSL not to bend or give up to all these pressure within and outside but to oppose with all its constitutional power to safeguard the interest of all Srilankans. The Srilankan Government should talk to TNA, only if it denounces the Vaddukoddai resolution which called for a Separate State. First of all let Srilanka take a bold stand to shun the separatist entering the Parliament with their separatist agenda in the expense of Srilankans. .
Let Srilanka not bend to TNA’s pressure tactics.
